SINGERS SHOWCASE 2010

This years Singing Students have the exciting honour of playing at one of London’s most prestigious and best loved venues for Original Live Music; The Bedford in Balham. The Bedford is dedicated to discovering, developing and promoting the very "best of the best" in emerging acts, breaking artists and established performers. For artists such as James Morrison, Paolo Nutini, KT Tunstall and many more, The Bedford has played a pivotal role in their careers.

Many of this years students have also been taking song-writing workshops with Natasha alongside their vocal lessons and this years performance will see many of them Showcasing their own songs. Of course as always they will be accompanied by the talented ‘Showcase House Band’ made of some of the best session musicians around who have played with artistes such as Katie Melua, Rod Stewart, Chicane, Tom Jones and many more.

There will be some tickets available on the door if you haven’t brought in advance so come along to The Bedford in Balham, THURSDAY 24TH JUNE. For a bargain £8 you can have a great nights entertainment & see some fantastic singers, new song-writing talent plus ‘something a bit different’ to warm up the crowd!

General info on vocal showcases

We arrange quarterly Singers Showcases for any students that wish to participate.

These Showcases provide a performance opportunity, a chance to put into practice what has been learned, a basis on which to assess and review future tuition and direction and a chance to show all the hard work each student has put into their vocal lessons.

Showcases are invaluable experience to students, particularly those who don't have regular performance opportunities.

Some students have made their debut performance at one of the Showcases when they initially would never believe they could have the confidence & ability to perform publicly.

Showcases provide a host of performance experience from singing to backing track to full band accompaniment.

Special lessons go along side these showcases that incorporate performance technique, communication with audiences, choreography and staging, microphone technique and technical information.
